Dow Chemical U.S. Caustic Soda Price Increase

Midland, MI - February 27, 2008

Effective immediately, or as contract terms allow, The Dow Chemical Company (“Dow”) is increasing its U.S. off schedule selling prices of both diaphragm (commercial) and membrane grades of caustic soda 50% solution (basis 76% Na2O) by $30/dry short ton (DST).  All TVA’s (Temporary Voluntary Allowances) now in place shall remain in effect and are not affected by this notice.

Due to continued tight supply and strong demand, Dow will remain on 100% order control until further notice.
